Stopper Plate
Ships always carry a variety of damage control tools and equipment on board to effectively respond to emergencies, such as hull or tank damage. The stopper plate is also an important damage control tool that is always available in the Damage Control Room (DC Room).

This damage control tool is used to arrest the water ingress if the size of the hole is more than 2 inches in diameter and the inside surface is regular. This can only be used from inside the ship.

Procedure for Using the Stopper Plate
- Insert the Spindle through the hole in the verticle position.

- Turn the Circular Plate 90 degrees allowing the Drop Leg to come in vertically with the Spindle.
- Tighten the Butterfly Nut.
